INVITATION: NEW COACH TRAINING IN EUROPE
Are you experienced with applying the Open Standards, and are you asked to help lead conservation teams?
If you are interested in stepping into a new role by becoming a conservation coach or improving your coaching skills, CCNet Europe is holding a conservation coach training from November 6-10, 2017 in Son, Lleida, Spain!
Trainers John Morrison (WWF US), Nicolas Boenisch (FOS Europe) and Vladimir Milushev (Bulgarian Biodiversity Foundation) are looking forward to meeting you at the beautiful MÓNNATURA PIRINEUS.
When? 6-10 November 2017
Where? Son, Lleida, Spain @ MÓNNATURA PIRINEUS. Nearest airport is Barcelona El Prat (BCN) in Spain.
Language? English
Who is it for?
Conservation practitioners familiar with the Open Standards or equivalent approach (e.g. Programme Standards, Conservation Action Planning/Conservation by Design). Attendees should have participated or helped with planning and implementation of one (or preferably more) Open Standards processes. A maximum of 20 participants is typical.
What will you get from attending a CCNet New Coach Training?
Strengthen your skills and experience as a facilitator and constructive critic to lead and support teams with diverse needs through planning, implementation, monitoring & evaluation, and learning processes in conservation and sustainable development projects. This training will prepare you to teach practitioners and teams the basic principles of the Open Standards, help teams identify strategies, develop measures, explicitly articulate and capture a team’s uncertainties, and encourage on-going assessment, learning and continuity of effort. Coaches link practitioners with other support services and identify peer projects where project leaders can find additional review and support for similar challenges. Coaches also actively promote the Open Standards around the world and contribute to method improvements and adaptations grounded in practice.
Besides having a great time interacting with committed conservation colleagues at the training, once you complete the course you will join a global network of around 600 CCNet coaches who help teams do better, smarter conservation that achieves tangible results, benefiting people and nature globally.
